The following sources are all the sources I looked at while doing my research for the two essays and the letter wrote to Dr. Emmert.
- This source explains the common law tests and how college athletes fit all four parts of the test to pass as employees. It then goes on to talk about how the athletes should be compensated and how high figures in our nation agree.
- This source is about two Michigan State law professors who prove how athletes are actually employees according to the common law. "In our judgment, young men playing major football and basketball are not there primarily for an education. They're primarily there to win football games and basketball games and perform well."
-
I used this source for specific definitions of a few words through out my papers.

This source talks about how much the average college basketball coach gets paid. " Their average pay is $1.47 million, ranging from Florida Gulf Coast’s Andrew Enfield’s at $157,500 to the high water mark of Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski at $7,233,976."
-
This source is an article out of a magazine written by Jalen Rose who was a former college basketball player. He talks about what the athletes go through and proposes a stipend idea.
-
This source give a report on how much NCAA football coaches make. " Six years ago, 42 major college football coaches made at least $1 million. Today, 42 make at least $2 million."
This source is an article written by Tyson Hartnett in which he talks about why he believes college athletes should be paid. Hartnett talks about his experience with having a roommate who was a college athlete dealing with a packed schedule.
